Future Tech in Drunk Driving Prevention

When you take a look at the numbers attached to drunk driving it’s plain to see just how big of a problem it really is. Numbers like the 8,000 alcohol related deaths that happen each year or the fact that 1 in every 3 car accident deaths are alcohol related.

Governments have been trying to cut down on these with strict enforcement of DUI laws but that’s not the only thing that’s being done about the problem. There are cars in development that would make driving drunk literally impossible. These cars have sensors all over the car which will prevent the driver from driving the car while inebriated and even sample their breath for alcohol en route in order to prevent someone starting the car for them. These persistent sensors also allow for the detection of an increasing level of blood alcohol concentration.

But these cars aren’t in every garage just yet. So if you need to discuss Michigan drunk driving charges, contact Attorney Joseph F. Awad.
